funding success for PKD Charity proposal

We are delighted to finally be able to share the good news that our Chronic Pain in Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease proposal has been funded by the NIHR Research for Patient Benefit programme! Chronic pain is a significant problem for many people with ADPKD, but few receive the healthcare support they need. We aim to run an observational study to characterise this symptom and create a new measurement tool that clinicians and researchers can use to treat and assess. This project has been led by PKD Charity and developed in partnership with renal colleagues across the country; we look forward to initiating the study once the COVID-19 crisis is over!
