University of Cambridge Research Impact & Engagement Awards
The Vice-Chancellor’s Research Impact and Engagement Awards were established in 2016 to recognise and celebrate excellence across the University of Cambridge. This year, two PLRH projects were nominated for the ‘collaboration’ category: My Sjögren’s Diary, and chronic pain in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. Unfortunately we weren’t lucky enough to take home an award, but it was wonderful to learn about the diversity of projects across the university.
In our category, three winners were announced:
- a global, low-cost mobile air pollution sensor network driven by citizen science
- a pop-up museum showcasing ancient Egyptian coffin construction and decoration
- a museum exhibition ‘Illuminating the Start of Complex Life’, engaging the public with early fossils
