International Clinical Trials Day
International Clinical Trials Day is celebrated around the world to mark the day James Lind began his famous trial into the deadly disease scurvy in 1747. The trial led to the discovery that citrus fruits high in vitamin C could prevent the disease, and paved the way for modern research into vaccines and treatments.
Join the PLRH, Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit, NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research team, and NIHR Cambridge BioResource in the main concourse at Addenbrooke’s Hospital on Monday, 20 May. Check out our ‘research map’ and learn how you can get involved at any stage in the research process!
